DANCE WORKSHOPS
AGE: 8-12 years & 13+ years
As a studio owner for 18 years, I know how important it is that we give our students the opportunity to build confidence and challenge themselves in a supportive environment. Over 2 days, our workshop will deliver dance intensive sessions which will include technique and choreography classes in contemporary and jazz. The students will have the opportunity to showcase their pieces in an inclusive, non competitive environment. The workshop will consist of 2 age groups, junior & senior. The choreographers will guide the group in appropriate dance technique and choreography to suit their skill level and age. Above all, our choreographers and facilitators are committed to providing a fun, vibrant and engaging experience for the students. During both days, students will participate in our 'Healthy Dancer Program', which involves a range of activities throughout the day.
HEALTHY DANCER
PROGRAM
The wellbeing program is designed to help students understand that the key to being happy and healthy is founded in simple building blocks that collectively help us to be the best and strongest version of ourselves. In fact, as dancers, our students will already have all the skills they need, we just focus on harnessing them.
The Building Blocks we focus on in the program:
The Power of our Minds - what we can achieve with focus, attention & discipline
The Power of Connection - creating a sense of team and belonging
Power in Resilience - Finding a sense of calm and focus when we don't feel our best
The program has been designed in consultation with a Clinical & Health Psychologist specialising in developing custom programs to support positive outcomes for individuals and organisations.
